A pioneer in the management movement in the country, Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) has been contributing to management profession and the society through its various educational, training and research activities. Established under the inspiring leadership of late Dr Vikram A Sarabhai and other professionals, AMA is an independent, non-profit, registered Charitable institution and a Society.

For its over 370 institutional and 2000 professional manager members and other entrepreneurs and businessmen, AMA has been providing a regular forum to interact and enrich knowledge and experiences in management through its various educational and professional activities.

AMA is one of the promoters and founder member of All India Management Association, the apex body for management profession in India, and has been collaborating and participating in all its educational and professional activities offered throughout the country. 

AMA has received 14 times (1990 to 2008, the Best Local Management Association Award Category-I by the All India Management Association for its Outstanding Contributions in professional management. 

AMA is also an ISO 9001 certified organization and an approved institute for Management Training by Government of Gujarat.

FACILITIES

The AMA complex is one of the well known and happening place in the city of Ahmedabad . AMA Complex building received the unique distinction of having won the world Architectural Award in 2001 under educational building category. The Building complex consists of Seminar Halls, Computer Lab, Library, Auditorium, Meting Rooms etc . All these facilitative are equipped with latest audio-video system and internet. Specially set-up Video conferencing facility is another attraction to the Centre.

The complex has the following facilities:

• State of the Art Auditorium with video conferencing facility with a capacity of 400 seats (will be ready by September 2008)
  A Convention centre with a capacity of 300 seats. 

• Eight Seminar Halls with latest audio video systems which can accommodate 60 persons each. Some of the Seminar Halls are designed in such a way that two halls can be converted to one which could accommodate 120 persons

• Five Seminar Halls with latest audio/video equipments which can accommodate 30-40 persons each.

• A well equipped computer lab with 20 terminals with latest software connected through net.

• A Library of 1800 sq.ft. area which has latest volume of books and periodicals. Updated Digital Data and Web surfing facilities are added attraction to the Library.

• Over 70 persons can sit and use the library at a time in the reading section. Reference Books; Directories; e-megazine are other facilities offered to users. A team of well qualified Librarians maintains the Library.

• Knowledge Resource Centre set-up at the Library provides updated Industry Data; Economic Indicators; Foreign Trade Updates etc. A weekly update is provided to subscribers through e-mail.
